Anna Poroshina is an interdisciplinary artist working with photography, collage, video art. She was born in 1986 in Tambov, Russia.
In 2009 she graduated from the Tambov State University of G.R. Derzhavin and majored in jurisprudence. In 2018-2019 she studied at the New PhotoSchool of Elena Sukhoveeva and Viktor Khmel. For the moment, she is studying at the Academy of Documentary and Art Photography “Fotografika” (St. Petersburg).
She prefers to go deeply into topics and to work on long-term projects. The main direction in the author’s work are the boundaries of art and life, transformation of the world, emotional states of a person, the time. In her projects Anna turns to social and environmental problems, she is interested the transitional stages of human life, the zone of “strain” and changes.
Portfolio review winner and laureate of the Young Photographers of Russia 2021 contest. Anna’s works were presented at the group exhibitions in Russia, the USA and the Netherlands.
