Polyethylene clouds

(medium: photography)

At home, at work, in shops, in the street — everywhere plastic bags surround us. We use them to carry goods and later discard them in the garbage. A messy collection in the world of consumption, which is only enlarging every year.

Once, while walking in the street, I noticed  packages fluttering in the wind, they changed shape faster than the clouds. The word “polyethylene” started to acquire a different meaning, changing its function, and right before my eyes, turned into lyrical things of women’s wardrobe. So in my own mind, the bags embodied aesthetics, they became part of the world full of elegant forms and subtle colors.

In this project, I tried to see art in everyday life, and to find beauty where we would never have thought to look before — in the garbage that everyone is so fed up with.
